What is Mister Softee?
Mister Softee is an iconic, mobile soft-serve ice cream truck that has been operating in and around the tri-state area since 1956.
What kind of ice cream do you serve?
We currently offer soft serve vanilla, chocolate, and vanilla-chocolate twist. We also offer a variety of milkshakes, sundaes, popsicles, and more. Check your local truck for the latest menu updates!
Do you do birthday parties or other events?
Yes, we do! We cater to birthdays, weddings, corporate events, and everything in between. We offer a variety of options to best suit your budget and needs. To learn more about event catering, please visit the "Catering" tab for more information.
What type of payment do you accept?
We are now proudly accepting cash, card, Venmo, CashApp, and Google/Apple Pay. Card and e-payments incur a $1 surcharge or a 3% fee on transactions over $100.
How do we get you to come to our neighborhood?
If you want to request Mister Softee comes to your neighborhood, feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of our home page or contact us on Instagram. Due to a high number of inquiries and limited availability, we may not be able to fulfill every request. However, encouraging your family and neighbors to also submit requests increases the likelihood of us stopping by.
We hear you in our neighborhood! How do we get your attention?
The best way to get our attention is to stand on the sidewalk and give us a wave! We also understand that sometimes you need an extra second to get outside; in that case, open the front door to wave us down and we'll pull over. If it's dark out, waving your phone's flashlight is the best way for us to find you.
We tried to stop you but you passed us! What happened?
We sincerely apologize! We are committed to serving everyone who wants ice cream and want you to know we did not pass you on purpose. Our drivers are human and have a lot to worry about - incoming traffic, pedestrian safety, large blind spots, etc., so it's entirely possible we missed you going by. Even if we do, standing on the sidewalk might allow us to catch you in our mirrors. However, always feel free to leave a comment with your address and we'll do our best to slow down for you the next time we're in the area.
What areas do you serve?
We currently operate mainly within the Montgomery County, Maryland area. While we are permitted outside the county, this does not include Washington D.C. or Virginia. A separate franchisee will be able to assist you with those areas and can be reached through the main franchise HQ at www.mistersoftee.com.
